The Comics Book dedicated to the memory of Missak Manouchian has been translated into Armenian

The graphic novel “Missak, Meline and the Manouchian Group: The Executed of the Red Poster” was presented to Armenian readers

On October 21, within the framework of the 17th ReAnimania International Animation Film & Comics Art Festival, the Armenian edition of the graphic novel translated with our support “Missak, Meline and the Manouchian Group” was presented.

As part of our corporate social responsibility, we co-financed the Armenian translation of this important book to convey to Armenian readers the values embodied by Missak Manouchian, the hero of France of Armenian origin.

As a French-Armenian company, part of our commitment is to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries and to the preservation of cultural heritage. This is already the second French-Armenian cultural bridge we have built, having previously translated the entire literary legacy of Charles Aznavour. These commitments symbolize the shared values formed between our two peoples and the significant contribution Armenians have made to France’s history and cultural life.

During the book presentation, Jean Mazejian, CEO of Amundi-Acba, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the development of education and culture. He recalled: “At the Panthéon in France, above the monument of Missak and Meline Manouchian, there is an inscription: ‘The homeland is grateful to its distinguished people.’ It is deeply symbolic that they have been immortalized in that important place, reaffirming France's gratitude for the sacrifices they made for their homeland and for a shared purpose.”

The event was attended by the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium, the Cultural Attaché of France and other delegates.

The graphic novel “Missak, Meline and the Manouchian Group” was written by Jean-David Morvan and illustrated by Thomas Tcherkezian. It tells the tragic and heroic story of "The Executed of the Red Poster" - Missak Manouchian, an Armenian by origin, and his comrades. It is not only about war and resistance, but also about human dignity, freedom, loyalty and, more broadly, the preservation and legacy of human values.
